I am Nicola Downie and am fully trained in floristry. I have been a florist for over 20 years and I love being a florist.

I buy the best quality flowers which are delivered from the Dutch flower markets and are sustainable in their growth. I buy my flowers from an international market so we can satisfy our customer’s wishes and wants. I also buy my flowers from the Cardiff flower market which are delivered to me daily. I offer the freshest flowers. I have six deliveries of flowers per week and any unusual flowers can be ordered at night and be with me the next day. I guarantee the freshness of my flowers. If managed properly my cut flowers will last for three weeks or more. I pride myself on the quality of the flowers I buy. I inspect each stem to make sure it is perfect because I want my customers to have the best. I always buy the best flowers and will continue to do so.
My reputation as a florist is totally reliant on the freshness of flowers I buy. I am proud of what I produce and I want to continue to be proud to serve the people of Caerphilly, Cardiff and the Valleys of South Wales. I believe my shop is a showcase of the floral art I create. You can enter through the doors and I can create any flower arrangement you want be it a birthday, wedding, anniversary or funeral or any other special occasion.
When people visit my shop, the first thing they notice is how beautiful and fresh the flowers look and many people comment how beautiful the scent of flowers I have.
Albeit I am an award-winning florist and member of the good florist guide with there being 2 in South Wales. I feel that there are very proficient florists and there is a business for all.
This all started by making life easier for the customer, being a florist can be a very rewarding experience, especially when making happy flowers and especially wedding flowers. So, I decided to put links into my wedding page of venues for all pockets and have had the experience of these venues.
Making funeral pieces brings me no joy, in fact, I am quite badly affected by dealing with a grieving family, however, I get on with it and produce the design the family has chosen and do so to the best of my ability. Then I decided to put links into funeral directors, some of whom I have delivered to and others whom I will deliver to, in the hope it will make life easier for the bereaved family.
It is most definitely an economically challenging time we are all experiencing and I refuse to lower the quality of the flowers I buy from the Dutch auctions because I can be assured of the fresh lush quality. Thus my prices are generally higher, but the flowers will last for three weeks, if not put beside a heater and fed with the flower food I supply. I put the same 6X quality of flowers into happy and sad flowers with 6X being the highest quality.
I decided to list other florists because I believe it is fair. I believe in my skill as a florist and I believe in my product but during times like we are enduring, I still feel, there is enough business for all florists. I can’t possibly list all of them but if you are not going to use me for any particular reason. I believe you should have a choice.
